About Kagrana Groundnut Foundation
Kagrana Groundnut Foundation is a Section 8 company registered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with a focus on contributing to the development of India's groundnut sector and supporting the farming communities associated with it.
Inspired by the experience and industry perspective of Mr. Sarthak Kagrana and Mrs. Dharni Kagrana, associated with Kagrana Industry, and guided by the mentorship of Mr. Darshan Prabhu, the Foundation aims to encourage improvements in groundnut quality, cultivation practices, productivity, farmer participation, and market readiness.
The Foundation recognizes that sustainable progress in the groundnut sector begins at the farm level. Quality seeds, appropriate harvesting practices, moisture management, traceability, and responsible post-harvest handling can play an important role in improving produce quality and reducing avoidable losses.
Through proposed initiatives involving farmer groups, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), agricultural knowledge-sharing, and collaboration with relevant institutions, the Foundation seeks to contribute to a more resilient and competitive groundnut ecosystem in India.

The Foundation aims to encourage access to suitable quality seeds, awareness of improved groundnut varieties and cultivation practices adapted to local farming conditions. Variety selection and seed use should follow appropriate agricultural recommendations.
Farmer Development and Training
The Foundation proposes to support farmer awareness activities covering crop management, harvesting, drying, moisture control, safe storage and quality preservation.
FPO and SHG Development
The Foundation aims to encourage collective initiatives involving Farmer Producer Organizations and Self-Help Groups, with opportunities for knowledge-sharing, entrepreneurship, aggregation, processing and market linkages.
Community and Rural Development
To invest in grassroots infrastructure, clean water access, and environmental sustainability projects to uplift rural and suburban areas.

We support orphaned and underprivileged children through educational assistance, essential supplies, healthcare support, and opportunities that can help them build a brighter future.
Processing and Value Addition
The Foundation aims to explore opportunities to encourage groundnut-based products, improved processing practices and value-added businesses that may create additional income opportunities across the agricultural value chain.
Quality Assurance and Traceability
The Foundation seeks to promote awareness of quality control throughout the supply chain, including farm-level practices, grading, hygienic handling, storage and traceability. APEDA's Peanut.NET system demonstrates the importance of tracking groundnuts through relevant export supply-chain stages.
